My article, Constructing Nature’s Allure discusses back-to-the-land endeavors and its relationship to the visual arts, focusing on the works of Courbet and the Hudson River School as well as contemporary photographers Rineke Dijkstra and Ryan McGinley (pictured above). The issue turned out beautifully with topics ranging from androgyny, film noir, and the psychology of perception, to name a few. GET IT.
