To my surprise and delight, my friend, performance artist Johnson Ngo, is on the latest cover of Xtra! discussing his one-on-one performance Make Your Own China Doll at this year’s Rhubarb Festival (self-described as “Canada’s premiere experimental performance festival”). Also participating this year is my friend Marisa Hoicka, performing her “high-camp, soap-operatic surgery” Trust My Gut with Johnny Forever. Totally bitchin’.
